Achievements of FDE

Since assuming the charge of the office of Director General (Education), Mr. Atif Mehmood Kayani has been very successful in achieving  historical landmarks on account of promotion of education, providing improved uniform educational facilities to all and uplifting the standard of living of teaching and non-teaching staff in ICT 

Few of the achievements under his visionary leadership and  through his dedicated team include:

 Process has been initiated for recruitment of staff in various cadres under “Prime Minister’s Package on Aghaz-e-Haqooq-e-Baluchistan”. Interviews of the candidates from Baluchistan province conducted at IMSC G-9/4 at Islamabad Centre on January 28, 2012.

As per the commitment of the peoples Government to provide better educational facilities through public sector educational institutions. Uniform Educational System has been introduced in all 420 educational Institutions. Normal schools are being provided facilities to the level of existing Model Colleges in phases. Worthy Prime Minister of Pakistan Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani has very kindly approved the uniform education system and incentive to the teaching faculty.

Planning and Development

  •          Establishment of two Islamabad Model Schools for boys and girls at PM Staff Colony, Inaugurated by the worthy Prime Minister of Pakistan on august 17, 2011.

  •         Commencement of Classes from the following academic year at newly established Degree College for Women in Sector I-14.

  •         Upgradation of 50 Junior Model Schools the Level of Islamabad Model Schools (English Medium)

  •         Level Enhancement / Upgradation of institutions to cater the educational needs in local institutions

  •         Commencement of Classes at newly established Degree College for  Women in Sector I-14

  •         In-Service Training on war footings. More than 1700 Teachers trained for the changed curriculum/Medium of instruction in collaboration with CIDA, FCE, NISTE.

Human Resource Development / Incentives

Regularization of Contractual / Daily Wage staff,  as per the decision of the sub-committee of the cabinet:

  •          237         Contractual BS-16, 17 Teachers including Computer Staff

  •          260         Daily Wage Teachers in Model Colleges

  •          83           BS-10-15 Non-Teaching Staff / Computer Staff

  •          88           BS-01-10 Non-Teaching Staff / Computer Staff

  •          701         Extension / Regularization of English Teachers

Up-gradations: As per the PM’s approved incentive

  •          1047   out of 1329 TGTs BS-16 to SSTs BS-17          (January 2012)

  •          465 out of 983    MTTs BS-09 to TUGTs BS-14

  •          2329 (all)              TUGTs BS-14 to SSTs BS-16

  •          116 (all)                PTI BS-14 to PTIs BS-16

  •          11   Assistant  Headmistresses (BS-18) to Deputy Headmistress (BS-19)

  •          91   Lecturers (BS-17) to Assistant Professors (BS-18)

  •          40   Junior Lady Teachers (BS-16)  to Senior Teachers (BS-17)

Miscellaneous Activities:

  •         Reinstatement of 552 Sacked Employees in Phase I and 81 in phase II:

  •         Resolution of the Issues of the “Against Posts” employees is in final stage. Case is pending from last 3 years. (Excess Appointments Case)

  •         Bonus to the FDE staff.

  •        Case has been initiated for obtaining NOC from the Establishment Division for recruitment of staff in newly established educational institutions under FDE.

  •        Restructuring of the Monitoring and Evaluation System at FDE for regular monitoring of the Academic Activities in Educational Institutions under FDE.

  •         Smooth execution of Elections for heads / teachers associations in FDE institutes

  •         Planning for commencement of A & O Level classes in selected FDE Institutions.

  •         Provision of FREE text books to all students up to Secondary Level.
