Latest Events, News, and Intimations

July 2014

Director General had a detailed meeting on Education Sector Reforms (ESP). Representatives from GIZ presented the ESP. All Directors and Area Education Officers attended the meeting besides ESP Planning Team.

FDE is in the process to strengthen EMIS with the support of donors like GIZ and USAID . A review meeting was held to evaluate OpenEMIS and other possibilities. Director General (Edu) chaired the meeting.

Annual Educational Census for Academic Session 2013-14 has been completed. Educational Census Report is being prepared. Some of statistics can be seen here. (Visit EMIS Page)

Director General (Edu) Presented "Plan of Action for Reforms in FDE" to worthy Secretary CA&DD. Time lines for more than 50 activates catering Administrative, Infrastructure, Academic, Uniformity, SMCs  and Co-Curricular Activities have been decided from July 2014 to January 2015. Follow-up Meetings are in progress.

June 2014

 With the efforts of worthy Secretary CA&DD Mr. Faridullah Khan, Director General (Edu) Mr. Muhammad Rafique Tahir, under supervision of the Federal Minister for CA&DD Mr. Usman Ibrahim, the long pending salary issue of the Daily Wage staff has been resolved. Cheques to 1380 daily wage employees have been distributed at 9 centers supervised by AEOs and Directors FDE. Efforts of all for resolving this issue were highly admired by all

Mr. Muhammad Rafique Tahir, D.G (Edu) briefed Mr. Usman Ibrahim, Federal Minister for CA&DD, about the working of FDE on June 26, 2014. Besides Secretary, CA&DD, Mr. Faridullah Khan and Additional Secretary, Choudhry Muhammad Asghar, Directors FDE were also present during the briefing.

We welcome Mr. Usman Ibrahim, as Federal Minister for Capital Administration and Development DivisionUnder his visionary leadership, we hope to further improve our Educational Services in ICT.

 


Meeting in progress on June 26, at CADD

Mr. Muhammad Rafique Tahir, Director General (Edu) had a detailed meeting with the newly posted heads of the Institutions. The DG highlighted the importance of their pivotal role in building the good image of the Institution. The principals assured that they will put in their best for improvement of Educational Services in respective Institutions.

* Director General (Edu) had a meeting with the officers and staff of the Colleges Wing. DG directed them to uplift their performance so that Colleges Section may be presented as a role model for other sections.

* Director General, along with Directors, visited Girls College Kot Hathyal. Later on, chaired a meeting in the presence of Pak-PWD authorities, Directors and AEOs to review various Planning and Development related activates. Progress on the projects for IMCG I-14/3, IMCB Sihala, IMCG Humak, IMCG I-8/3 were deliberated and necessary directions were issued to resolve various issues with these   development Projects. Director General directed the Directors and AEOs to have closed coordination, so that first intake in this new building for Girls College Kot Hathyal should start from September 2014. Necessary directions to the concerned were also issued.

* Director General (Edu) has decided to takeover the IMSG Sawan Garden building latest by June 27, 2014. This campus will be inaugurated by Dr. Tariq Fazal Choudhry, MNA on June 28, 2014. Director Admin and Director Schools-Female shall ensure provision of Non-Teaching and Teaching staff respectively, well before the commencement of classes. AEO Sihala shall be responsible for arrangements to hold the inaugural session in a befitting manner.

* Mr. Muhammad Rafique Tahir, Director General (Edu) had a detailed meeting with all the Directors and Deputy Director of FDE and shared his vision for improvement of Educational Services through FDE Institutions. He wished that with collective effort and team work, FDE will once aging regain its glory.  Directors highlighted various issues hindering their performance upon which the D.G assured them that their problems shall be addressed on priority for improvement of efficiency. He decided to hold separate meetings with all the staff members of various sections on regular basis.

* Director General (Edu) took serious notice of the Non-Payment of Salary to some daily wage staff working in Educational Institutions. He deputed the Director Budget and DDO, FDE to have close liaison with AGPR Authorities, and follow-up the case to ensure early payment of salaries to the daily wage staff. It is hoped that the payments shall be made very soon.

* Director General (Edu) has decided to improve the Working environment and outlook of the FDE HQ. The PAK-PWD authorities have been coordinated for commencement of miscellaneous activities including face uplifting, beautification and overall whitewashing of the FDE building.

* Mr. Muhammad Rafique Tahir, Director General (Edu) has very kindly granted approval for provision of requisite Computer Hardware  to various sections of FDE for effective execution of the routine services. Provision of new Computer systems shall contribute towards improvement of services.

May 2014

* Mr. Muhammad Rafique Tahir, Joint Educational Advisor, CA&DD assumes the charge of the office of Director General (Edu) FDE in addition to his present assignments as JEA vide CA&DD Notification No.F.1-3/2014-Admn-I dated May 08, 2014 issued with the approval of the worthy Secretary CA&DD.

* Status report of Student Admissions to Educational Institutions under FDE - Academic Session 2014-15 (Details)

* Annual Educational Census 2012-13 was conducted for Educational Institutions under FDE using purpose built Data Collection Instrument. These Facts/ Findings from the Statistical Data and analysis of the Critical Indicators will help us in information based decision making and corrective measures for improvement of the academic services through Public Sector Educational Institutions. This activity was conducted by the I.T Coordinator, FDE with the support of respective Directors Colleges, Model Colleges and Area Education Officers as Focal Persons. Facts and findings were forwarded to Secretary CA&D D in January 2013 and Report printed in July 2013.
* Job opportunities for teaching & non-teaching staff on Contract. Last date for submission of applications on specified proforma is
September 21, 2012.
