Mr. Atif Mehmood Kayani, Chairman Private Educational Institutions Regulatory Authority (PEIRA) has assumed the charge of the office of the Director General Federal Directorate of Education w.e.f 23rd May 2011. He has a vast experience of managing educational Institutions.

He was warmly welcomed at FDE by officers and officials along with associations of Teaching and Non-Teaching staff of FDE.  During his address in the  welcome ceremony, held in FDE, he shared his future vision, highlighting the professional capacity of the teachers to educate the children in ICT as per vision of the father of the nation. He assured the teaching community that under his leadership FDE will leave no stone unturned to resolve their legitimate problems. He desired cooperation of all concerned in building the good image of FDE. He advised that only hard work, full sincerity and honesty can bring  positive change in the educational institutions under Federal Directorate of Education. The representatives of Staff and Officers assured him, their full cooperation and better teamwork under his command.
