Inauguration of Newly Established Computer Lab at IMCB F-10/3
Islamabad, August 28, 2025 – Secretary, Ministry of Federal Education & Professional Training (MoFE&PT), Mr. Nadeem Mehbub, inaugurated the newly established Computer Laboratory at Islamabad Model College for Boys (IMCB) F-10/3 today. He was received by Mr. Javed Iqbal Mirza, Director Administration/ Project Director FDE, Mr. Shahid Mehmood Abbasi, Director (Colleges), Ms. Riffat Jabeen, Director (Academics), and Prof. Muhammad Ihsan ul Haq, Principal.
Following the inauguration, the Secretary was briefed on the use of the Computer Lab for both regular coursework and specialized hi-tech training programs. These include: Python Programming, JavaScript, DevOps, Blockchain and Web 3.0, AI-Powered Tools Utilization,
E-Commerce Fundamentals and Data Visualization. He appreciated the establishment of the lab and underscored the significance of equipping students with 21st-century ICT skills to compete in the knowledge economy.
The Secretary also visited other labs at the college, interacted with students, and commended the efforts of the FDE and College Administration in creating innovative and technology-enabled learning environments. He assured full support from the Ministry in further strengthening IT and science education facilities in Islamabad Capital Territory institutions.
