Secretary, Ministry of Federal Education & Professional Training (MoFE&PT), Mr. Nadeem Mehbub, visited Islamabad Model College for Boys (IMCB) F-10/3 today to review the state of science laboratories. He was warmly received by students of the college and welcomed by Mr. Javed Iqbal Mirza, Director Administration FDE/Project Director, Mr. Shahid Mehmood Abbasi, Director (Colleges), Ms. Riffat Jabeen, Director (Academics), and Prof. Muhammad Ihsan ul Haq, Principal.

During the visit, the Secretary inspected the biology, chemistry, and physics laboratories and was briefed on their current status, facilities, and shortcomings. He directed that immediate measures be undertaken to improve the infrastructure and resources of these laboratories to ensure quality learning opportunities for students.

The Secretary emphasized that modern science education is critical for equipping youth with problem-solving and analytical skills. He stressed the importance of well-equipped laboratories in fostering scientific inquiry, creativity, and innovation among students.

While interacting with students, the Secretary commended their enthusiasm for science learning and assured them that steps are being taken to upgrade facilities across educational institutions under the Federal Directorate of Education (FDE).
